Training Opportunity for Health Care Organizations
Compassionate Oregon is now offering training for health care professionals on Medical Marijuana in Oregon. Health care professionals serving patients who use medical marijuana need to know about the Oregon program in order to protect patients, educate family members, avoid and identify side effects and be aware of drug interactions.
We are starting with hospice organizations, but are also willing to work with home health, residential, doctor’s offices and other health care providers.
The one-hour course is taught by Cheryl K Smith, former attorney, health information administrator and Executive Director of the Compassion Center, a nonprofit medical marijuana clinic in Eugene. Cheryl is currently the chair of the Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana, which advises the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program.
Please consider adding us to your continuing education program for health care professionals. If you are interested in this program for your staff, please contact Cheryl at [email protected].
