IT’S OUR 12th YEAR!

Compassionate Oregon is pleased to announce the start of our 12th year working with the 2025 Oregon Legislature. From adding PTSD as a qualifying condition in 2013 to creating the Oregon Cannabis Commission in 2017, we are excited about our efforts in the 2025 Legislative session.

What we are working on for 2025

Cannabis in Hospice.

Reducing METRC reporting.

Cannabis Education for healthcare professionals.

With the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) moving forward with the reclassification of cannabis in the Schedule of Controlled Substance from Schedule I to Schedule III, restrictions on using cannabis in healthcare will begin to ease.

This should make changing the laws for using cannabis in hospice much easier and modeled off California’s Ryan’s Law, we feel our chances of getting this change in Oregon have improved dramatically.

So PLEASE donate $4.20 per month to help with our efforts.

2025 will be the most important session in the history of OMMP,

for its patients, caregivers and designated growers, for the program itself.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Working with the Legislature, is a full time job monitoring all rules & advisory committees and keeping our members informed and active.

But we have a long way to go and that takes money!

It’s really that easy!

All your contributions go to support our work in Salem and around the State.
